I grew up doing gymnastics and competitive cheerleading. I got into lifting and hiking during college, and also spent some time doing CrossFit. I now regularly do CrossFit and work as a Physician Assistant (PA).
While fitness has always been something I have enjoyed, I lacked consistency for most of that time. When I started PA school, I completely quit working out/eating healthy. I didn't think I had the time/energy/etc. I saw a patient one day and was talking to them about the importance of creating time to exercise and eat well, and after seeing that patient it hit me that I wasn't taking my own advice. I wanted to set an example to my patients. This was a turning point for me as I started actively trying to create time in each day for myself and my health. It taught me that fitness is more than a physical journey.
I want to help people achieve their own version of healthy and also have fun along the way! As a coach, I want to support athletes in ways the CrossFit community has done for me.
